All help is greatly appreciated!ĮDIT: It's Server 2012, and the user (at this point, just a test account) to whom I have Delegated authority through the Delegation of Control Wizard is unable to open ADUC, and that is at the heart of the problem. So, the question is, what do I need to do in order for my non-admin users to be able to open ADUC and run that Taskpad? I don't want to make them Domain Admins, but I can't seem to figure out how to delegate the ability to open ADUC otherwise. I've delegated the permissions in Active Directory to create/modify user accounts, but these users can't use the Taskpad because they are prompted to provide Administrator credentials, which they obviously don't have, when they try to open the Active Directory Users & Computers (ADUC) MMC. The problem is that they still need permissions to even open AD, let alone manipulate it. ![]() I've followed the steps ( ) to create a taskpad for them, so they only see the options I want them to see. I'd like to delegate the ability for the HR folks to create user accounts.
